What is neoprene used for in the jacket?
Neoprene provides body heat retention and protects against wind and light moisture, keeping the wearer comfortable in cold or damp conditions. Additionally, the fabric is water-repellent, helping to prevent moisture from penetrating the garment.
Is it flexible and comfortable for movement?
Yes. Neoprene’s elasticity allows for a wide range of motion, making it ideal for outdoor or athletic activities.
Is it water-resistant?
Yes, neoprene is water-repellent, offering protection against light rain, splashes, and damp wind. However, it is not fully waterproof for prolonged heavy rain.
How should a neoprene jacket be cleaned?
Hand washing with cold water and mild soap is recommended, avoiding harsh detergents, bleach, or tumble dryers. It can also be machine washed on a delicate cycle with cold water, using a laundry bag. Hang to dry in the shade to preserve the material’s elasticity and durability.
Does it shrink or lose its shape over time?
No, not if properly cared for. Avoid excessive heat, machine drying, or prolonged sun exposure.
What are the advantages over a conventional jacket?
It offers better thermal insulation, wind and light water resistance, greater flexibility for movement, and superior durability against wear.
